OSIRIS - Grisms - Properties

On March 16th  2004 grisms made by Spectra-Physics were received in the IAC.

Six grisms have been manufactured by Spectra-Physics (Rochester, New York, USA). The grisms are MBR_G1, MBR_G2, BR_G1, BR_G2, IR_G2.1 and IR_G3.2. Each grism has been named following that criterion: XR_G#, Where: X is: “I” when it is an intermediate resolution grisms, “B” when it is a low resolution grisms “MB” when it is a lowest resolution grisms and # is: the ordinal number of the grism.

The high resolution grism are being manufactured at this moment, and we expect the delivery by the middle of the 2008.
