OSIRIS - Folder Mirror Subsystem

The Folder Mirror Subsystem consists of the flat folder mirror (to reflect the light) and the Cell that supports the mirror and allows to attach it to the OSIRIS main structure, minimizing the optical distortions of the optical surface.

The Folder is a flat mirror having an optical clear aperture of 264x185 mm, composed of zerodur. The mirror reflects the incoming beam at 45 degrees incidence.

The Cell is attached to the OSIRIS Support Structure through the interface zones in the Folder Interface. The mount is composed of a set of 3 flexures attached onto the mirror, a main triangular base plate made of carbon steel, and a set of three spacers that are used to adjust within the required tolerances the mirror position.
