Calculators
The following programas JavaScripts programs are available to help you calculate the exposure time of the observations. These are test versions of the OSIRIS SNR calculator tools. Computations are based on theoretical parameters and thus, they should be taken as approximate until real parameters are available. These tools are under developement, and thus, they cannot be taken as the definitive applications.

OSIRIS - ETC - Broad-Band Imaging SNR Calculator v3.0
Provides the observer with the values of the exposure
time for a required S/N ratio for the object, or a S/N to be achieved
after
a given exposure time.
OSIRIS - Spectroscopy SNR Calculator v3.0Provides the observer with
the values of the exposure time for a required
S/N ratio for the object, or a S/N to be achieved after a given exposure
time.
OSIRIS - Tunable Filter SNR Calculator v4.0Computes
signal-to-noise ratio for a given target
with OSIRIS in TF mode.
