GENERAL NOTES

The site was developed with frames, but one should still be able to navigate through the site without frames using the navigation bar at the bottom of each page.

Originally, all pages contained no table html tags. This condition has been relaxed since September 1997. If you use Lynx or Mosaic, some things may not display properly.

All email addresses include nospam so as to mislead any robots that visit the site. When sending mail, please remember to remove the nospam from the address.

WHAT'S NEW?

September 1997

The navigation bar has been moved to the side. Now there is lots more space for expansion!

The International Time Project moves into top gear. Don't miss the latest developments!

August 1997

Please note the changes to all email addresses. I have added nospam to all addresses to mislead any robots that may search our Web pages. To send email, simply remove the nospam from the address.

Under Projects I have added a number of outside sites, including databases, which may be useful.

Due to staff shortages the Castillian version of these pages are now superseded by the English version. If you don't like this, then please read below.

July 1997

G'day thrillseekers!

It has been just over a year that we have had our Web site. During that time, I've made the following observations:

  1. No one seems to have much interest in updating their projects page. I propose that we all maintain our own pages, with links to the main site we currently have. Perhaps people will prefer having direct control over the contents of their page. If one doesn't know how to program in HTML, the students are fast learners. I am happy to help, as well.

  2. At the IAC, each user is only allowed 1MB on the www server, and we have reached that limit. Following from point 1, if we all have separate pages, then we *each* have 1MB to play with. This space problem will only become more difficult to manage with time if there is no change.

  3. I propose that a student take over the responsibility of the main site as I will not be around for much longer. In fact, from my own experience, I believe two people will be better suited to the task: one for the English pages and one for the Castilian pages. The students seem to know more than I do these days, anyway. Therefore, I'm looking for two volunteers for the job who can work together.

I regret to say there is no financial compensation.

Aloha,
Emanuel
