  • Circumnuclear regions in barred spiral galaxies - I. Near-infrared imaging

We present subarcsecond-resolution, ground-based, near-infrared images of the central regions of a sample of 12 barred galaxies with circumnuclear star formation activity, which is organized in ring-like regions typically 1kpc in diameter. We also present Hubble Space Telescope near-infrared images of 10 of our sample galaxies, and compare them

  • CLASP/SJ Observations of Rapid Time Variations in the Lyα Emission in a Solar Active Region

The Chromospheric Lyα SpectroPolarimeter (CLASP) is a sounding rocket experiment launched on 2015 September 3 to investigate the solar chromosphere and transition region. The slit-jaw (SJ) optical system captured Lyα images with a high time cadence of 0.6 s. From the CLASP/SJ observations, many variations in the solar chromosphere and transition

  • Classification and vsini of Vega-type and PMS stars (Mora+, 2001)

File table1.dat contains the log of the spectroscopic observations of the stars in the EXPORT sample taken with the Isaac Newton Telescope during the 1998 International Time Campaigns at the Canary Islands' Observatories. File table2.dat contains the log of the spectroscopic observations of the stars in the EXPORT sample taken with the William

  • Climatology at the Roque de LOS Muchachos Observatory

The Roque de los Muchachos Observatory (ORM) at La Palma (Canary Islands) is one of the two top pre-selected sites for hosting the future European Extremely Large Telescope (E-ELT), the other ones are Ventarrones (Chile), Macon (Argentine) and Aklim (Maroc). Meteorological and seeing conditions are crucial both for the site selection and for

  • Cluster Emission of $^8$Be in the $^{28}$Si+$^{12}$C Fusion Reaction at Low Temperature

Inclusive as well as exclusive energy spectra of the light charged particles emitted in the $^{28}$Si ($E_{lab}$=112.6 MeV) + $^{12}$C reaction has been measured using the {f ICARE} multidetector array. The data have been analysed by statistical-model calculations using a spin-dependent level density parametrization. The results suggest significant

  • CN and CH line strengths in 12 globulars (Pancino+, 2010)

In this first paper, we measured the strength of the CN and CH band indices, which correlate with the N and C abundances, and we investigated the anti-correlation and bimodality of these indices. We compared rCN, the ratio of stars belonging to the CN-strong and weak groups, with 15 different cluster parameters. (1 data file).
