This web site presents the participation of the IAC
in the design, construction and commissioning of
the FRIDA instrument

The FRIDA project arises in 2004 under the mutual agreement of three institutes:

- Instituto de Astronomia de la UNAM (Mexico) who leads the project (web here)
- Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias (IAC)
- Astronomy Department of University of Florida (UF)

In 2006, the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) formally joined the project.
