Severo Ochoa Programme

The Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias was awarded the accreditation and seal of Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence in the first call of the Programme in 2011. This distinction was also granted in 2016 and 2020 (until 2024), making the IAC one of only six Spanish centres to have received the seal of excellence on three consecutive occasions.
