I have completed my PhD Thesis on the stellar populations and star formation history of the SMC at the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias . You can find my thesis here: Thesis.

My research is mainly focused on the study of Stellar Populations in Local Group Galaxies, in which we can resolve their individual stars.

We can study the esvolution of such galaxies in exquisite detail through Color-Magnitude Diagrams (CMDs). From the CMDs it is possible to retrieve the star formation and chemical enrichment histories (SFH, CEH) with a level of detail that mainly depends on the magnitude limit of the available CMD.

My PhD is focus on the study of one of our two nearest neighbors, the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC). In particular, its SFH and evolution in order to shed light into many questions that still remain open about this galaxy.
