Description
Synthetic horizontal branch (HB) stars in globular clusters, when computed on the basis of HB evolutionary tracks and pulsation theory constraints, furnish the best theoretical scenarios for exploration of the age-metallicity relation in globular clusters. Preliminary results are presented from recently computed synthetic models of the horizontal branch. The primary properties predicted for HB stars and RR Lyrae variables are presented and compared with selected observations of variables in the field and in globular clusters.
