Description
The aim of the IAC Tenerife Infrared Polarimeter is to obtain quantitative measurements of the polarization state of the solar radiation collected in near-infrared wavelengths by the Gregory Coudé Telescope and the Vacuum Tower Telescope of the Observatorio del Teide (Spain). In this contribution we describe the analyzer, instrumental calibration, and detector subsystems of TIP, and give details concerning the specifications of the instrument.
