In general, all partners have a special interest in/focus on creating attractive teaching and learning environments for science students. The common context is the initiative and wish to create innovative learning environments for young learners or we might say: the future engineers and researchers.
National initiatives The three countries’ national educational authorities have published several whitepapers and preparing new blue-papers where ’21 century literacies’ combined with a revision of science curricula is focused.
In Norway, the Norwegian Minister of Education has published several whitepapers on the new and soon revised curricula. New didactic approaches, in-depth studies combined with cross- curricular activities are needed to redefine competences (skills and knowledge) in science subjects of the future.
