On the morning of the 17th July at 12 pm, the annual meeting of the Governing Council of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) will be held at the organisation's headquarters in La Laguna. A press conference was held after the meeting, from 2.30 pm.
An international team of researchers, with participation from the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, has discovered an extremely dense Neptune-sized planet, which challenges the conventional theories about the formation and evolution of planets.
