  • 4U 1608-52 is back to quiescence after its 2007-2009 outburst

    After an outburst that lasted more than 2.3 years (starting around June 12th., 2007; Palmer et al., ATel #1113), the neutron star transient and atoll source 4U 1608-52 has returned to quiescence.   • 5-14 Μm Spitzer spectra of Themis family asteroids

    We present 5-14 μm spectra of 8 Themis family asteroids observed with Spitzer. The diameter and geometric albedo are determined using the NEATM model. Their emissivity spectra is studied in order to determine if they exhibit an emission plateau at about 9 to 12 μm as observed in other primitive asteroids of the outer belt, attributed to fine
