The Cary 5000 double beam spectrophotometer works in the visible and infrared range of the spectrum and it is used for the characterization of materials as a function of the wavelength, in our case, usually lenses, filters or optical systems. It has a receptacle where the object to be measured is placed and has several accessories to dim the light and make specular, diffuse and variable angle reflectance measurements. It also has a polarizer and a depolarizer.
Modular equipment for the measurement of the spectral response of components and optical systems.
The Optics Laboratory is specialized in the realization of all type of optical measurements, alignment and integration of instruments, prototype tests and characterization of components and optical systems in general.
The IAC Technology Division has the capacity for developing complete optical elements and systems from the design stages to manufacturing follow-up, integration and final verification.
Within its capability to develop optical instrumentation, the IAC has a deep knowledge and experience in the design, manufacture and verification of optical fibres and their applications.
