Description
Image 1: Photo centered on the Pleiades star cluster in the constellation of Taurus, obtained with the Teide Astrograph of UC3 from the Teide Observatory (Izaña, Tenerife) which covers a wide field on the sky, equivalent to one hundred diameters of the moon (a bit more than five degrees squared). It is an image with over 5 hours of exposure, the sum of 21 individual images each of 900 seconds through the L filter (which transmits the full range of visible light). The true color of this region of the sky has been obtained using the combination of three extra broad band filters (R: red, G: Green, and B: blue) with total exposure times of 2 hours per filter (8 individual exposures each of 900 seconds).
