Description
Infrared photometric observations (1.25-10 microns) of the compact H II region G45.5 plus 0.1 are reported. Three new sources, which appear pointlike in nature, are discussed; two of them are possibly identifed with faint stars on the Palomar Sky Survey red plate. Evidence is given which indicates that they lie behind cool dust clouds with an extinction of the order of 13 to 30 magnitudes. These sources appear to be M stars, possibly associated with the H II region, and at least one of them is known to be a type II OH/IR source.
