                            Description
Spectrograms of five bright northern central stars of planetary nebulae
(CSPN) are compiled in order to provide spectral descriptions of these
stars, with particular attention given to the central stars of NGC 6543
and NGC 6572 (the best examples of the Of WR spectral class) and a
comparison of these to less extreme Of CSPN. Results present clear
evidence of variations in some emission features in spectra of the
central stars of IC 4593, NGC 6826, and NGC 6543, with variation time
scales of the order of 1 day or less. No evidence was found of binarity
in the central star of NGC 6826, which was previously reported to be a
spectroscopic binary.
