  • Quiet Sun Magnetic Fields
The seemingly un-magnetized part of the solar surface is not really un-magnetized. It is occupied by magnetic structures producing low polarization which, therefore, escape detection in traditional measurements. Since most of the solar surface belongs to this category, the quiet Sun magnetic fields can easily carry most of the magnetic flux and

  • Quiet-Sun inter-network magnetic fields observed in the infrared
This paper presents the results of an investigation of the quiet Sun's magnetic field based on high-resolution infrared spectropolarimetric observations obtained with the Tenerife Infrared Polarimeter (TIP) at the German VTT of the Observatorio del Teide. We observed two very quiet regions at disc centre. The seeing was exceptionally good during

  • Radial velocities of optical lines in three bright Galactic HII regions
We present heliocentric radial velocities for a large number of emission lines covering all the optical spectral range for two slit positions of the Galactic H Ii regions M 42 and M 17 and one slit position of M 8. We obtain a fairly similar relation between the heliocentric velocity and the ionization potential of the ions in all the observed slit

  • Radial velocity measurements of 30 Ari B (Guenther+, 2009)
The table contains the relative radial velocity measurements of 30 Ari B with the 2-m Alfred-Jensch telescope at the Thueringer Landessternwarte Tautenburg. (1 data file).

  • Radiation-induced forces on the orbits of dust particles around rotating stars
The influence of rotation and finite size of the radiation source on the orbits of dust particles around stars is analyzed. It is found that there are physical situations in which the results first derived by Robertson (Poynting-Robertson effect), corresponding to a nonrotating point-like source, cannot properly describe the dynamical behavior of

  • Radio counterparts of unidentified EGRET gamma-ray sources.
We present one new radio identification and one confirmation of two high-latitude gamma-ray sources detected by CGRO-EGRET, based on flux density measurements at 1.3 mm (Caltech Submillimeter Observatory2) and 1.3 cm (Metsähovi Research Station) of objects in the EGRET error boxes. We identify EGRET sources 10744+5438 and J1239+044l with 87GB
