  • The Discovery and Follow-up of Four Transiting Short-period Sub-Neptunes Orbiting M Dwarfs
Sub-Neptunes with radii of 2–3 R ⊕ are intermediate in size between rocky planets and Neptune-sized planets. The orbital properties and bulk compositions of transiting sub-Neptunes provide clues to the formation and evolution of close-in small planets. In this paper, we present the discovery and follow-up of four sub-Neptunes orbiting M dwarfs (TOI

  • The Detection and Investigation of Exoplanets with MASTER Global Network Telescopes
The paper presents the method for detecting exoplanets in the image archive obtained by telescopes of the MASTER Global Network since 2002. The unique archive represents homogeneous photometric data obtained over 20 years for the northern (MASTER-Amur, MASTER-Tunka, MASTER-Kislovodsk, M-ASTER-Tavrida, MASTER-IAC, MASTER-OAGH) and 11 years for the

  • The dependence of the magnetism of a near-limb sunspot on height
Context. The physical parameters of the sunspot are not fully understood, especially the height dependence of the magnetic field. So far, it is also an open question as to which heights the He I 10 830 Å spectral line is formed at. Aims: Our aim is to investigate the magnetic and dynamical properties in the atmosphere above a sunspot, from the

  • Systematic KMTNet Planetary Anomaly Search. XI. Complete Sample of 2016 Subprime Field Planets
Following Shin et al. (2023b), which is a part of the "Systematic KMTNet Planetary Anomaly Search" series (i.e., a search for planets in the 2016 KMTNet prime fields), we conduct a systematic search of the 2016 KMTNet subprime fields using a semi-machine-based algorithm to identify hidden anomalous events missed by the conventional by-eye search

  • Star-formation activity of low-mass galaxies at the peak epoch of galaxy formation probed by deep narrow-band imaging
Low-mass galaxies at high redshifts are the building blocks of more massive galaxies at later times and are thus key populations for understanding galaxy formation and evolution. We have made deep narrow-band observations for two protoclusters and the general field in COSMOS at z ~ 2. In a clumpy young protocluster, USS1558-003, at z = 2.53, we

  • SN 2020pvb: A Type IIn-P supernova with a precursor outburst
We present photometric and spectroscopic datasets for SN 2020pvb, a Type IIn-P supernova (SN) that is similar to SNe 1994W, 2005cl, 2009kn, and 2011ht, with a precursor outburst detected (PS1 w band ∼-13.8 mag) around four months before the B-band maximum light. SN 2020pvb presents a relatively bright light curve that peaked at M B = −17.95 ± 0.30
