  • UNIFIED MODELS FOR THE ANALYSIS OF MASSIVE HOT STARS ATMOSPHERES
SE HA DESARROLLADO UN NUEVO CODIGO DE ORDENADOR PARA MODELIZAR LA FORMACION DE LINEAS ESPECTRALES EN ATMOSFERAS ESTELARES EN EXPANSION ESFERICA. LA MEMORIA DE LA TESIS DESCRIBE EL FUNDAMENTO TEORICO, LOS METODOS NUMERICOS Y LOS PRIMEROS RESULTADOS. LAS TECNICAS NUMERICAS SON MUY EFICIENTES Y EL CODIGO HA DISEÑADO DE FORMA TAL QUE PERMITE FACILMENTE

  • The Possible Ascent of a Closed Magnetic System through the Photosphere
We present a comprehensive interpretation of the evolution of a small magnetic region observed during its entire disk passage. The vector magnetic field measurements from the Advanced Stokes Polarimeter, along with Hα and magnetogram measurements from the Lockheed SOUP instrument operating at the Swedish Solar Observatory on La Palma, and soft X

  • The evolution of compact supernova remnants in a strongly magnetized medium
Two-dimensional simulations of the evolution of supernova remnants in a uniform, high-density medium are presented. The medium is magnetized, and its magnetic pressure is much larger than the thermal pressure. The evolution of the remnants is followed past full thermalization of the ejecta. A mechanism of self-collimation of the flow is identified

  • The density of Abell clusters.
We present a precise procedure for obtaining predictions of any clustering model for the density of Abell clusters. To this end we use results from the recently developed theory of structures in point distributions. The procedure is applied to two clustering models. One of them gives a result very close to the actual one.
