Ca II H high-resolution spectral monitoring of active late-type dwarfsWe have monitored Ca II H with a spectral resolution of 8 x 104, in a sample of late-type MS stars over a four-year period. The high resolution enables us to add information on velocity fields to the usual flux monitoring. We detect changes in wavelength of different parts of the Ca II H feature, which can be interpreted as velocity fields in theBeckman, J. E. et al.

Ca II H and K and Hα, and Li abundances in the pleiades late K main-sequenceWe have observed seven main sequence stars in the Pleiades, with B - V between 0.98 and 1.41 (5100-3900 K), and with a wide range of rotational velocities, in Ca II H and K, Ha and have derived Li abundances. A spectrophotometric study of the peculiar young open cluster Berkeley 87A spectrophotometric study of the peculiar open cluster Berkeley 87 is presented; the measurements show that most of the members are young, heavily reddened OB stars, but a few are much more evolved objects.
