  • Spins and shapes of V-type asteroids in the inner Main-Belt
Most basaltic V-type asteroids in the inner Main-Belt are located inside the collisional Vesta family and are considered parts of the fossil planetesimal (4) Vesta. Some asteroids are found outside the family and are considered Vesta fugitives, that is asteroids that migrated and have escaped the boarders of the family beyond recognition of common

  • Spectroscopic study of Ceres' collisional family candidates
Despite the observed signs of big impacts on the surface of Ceres, there is no confirmed collisional family associated with this dwarf planet. Carruba et al. (2016) proposed a sample of 156 asteroids as candidates to be members of a Ceres' collisional family after a dynamical and photometric study. Our main objective is to study the connection

  • Spectrophotometric Properties of 162173 Ryugu's Surface from the NIRS3 Opposition Observations
Examination of the opposition geometry properties show that Ryugu's surface regolith is commensurate with laboratory studies of the photometric behavior of powdered carbonaceous chondrites. The regolith is consistent with a broad grain size distribution that contains a fine-grained component.

  • Spectro-photometric studies of near-Earth asteroids using broad-band filters over the visible wavelengths
The spectro-photometric observations of asteroids provide the first information regarding their composition. They allow to classify the observed objects in given taxonomic types which are associated with compositional groups. This technique has been successfully applied both for the data retried from all-sky surveys and for studies of individual

  • Spectrally blue hydrated parent body of asteroid (162173) Ryugu
Ryugu is a carbonaceous rubble-pile asteroid visited by the Hayabusa2 spacecraft. Small rubble pile asteroids record the thermal evolution of their much larger parent bodies. However, recent space weathering and/or solar heating create ambiguities between the uppermost layer observable by remote-sensing and the pristine material from the parent

  • Scintillation effects and the optimal sequence of deformable mirrors in multi-conjugate adaptive optics
Multi-conjugate adaptive optics (MCAO) uses two or more deformable mirrors (DMs) at conjugate altitudes approximately matched to the atmospheric turbulence layers to increase the corrected field of view. An important unresolved problem for MCAO is determining the optimal sequence of the DMs. Theoretical considerations and numerical studies suggest
