The plotter ProtoMat S100, manufactured by LPKF, is a machine capable of manufacturing both one and two-sided printed circuit boards (PCBs). It allows the use of boards with a number of substrates types and can be used to manufacture conventional PCBs and RF PCBs as well, featuring a resolution of 0.25µm and a precision of +/-2.5µm. ProtoPlace S is a semi-automatic system for pick & place ideally suited for mounting SMT components on PCB boards. ProtoFlow S has a convection oven manufactured also by LPKF, adequate for reflow soldering (with lead-free tin), because it provides the required heat distribution, a user-friendly programming and a number of predefined temperature profiles.
The laboratory has the necessary infrastructures for the development, integration and verification of electronic systems
The Electronics Workshop is dedicated to the manufacture and assembly of electronic systems.
Within its capacity of building scientific instrumentation, the IAC has extensive experience in the design and development of electronic systems in general and, especially, for astronomical instruments and devices
