Fifteen students from nine different countries attended a meeting from September 26th to 30th to learn about the measurement of the fundamental properties of stars, how to access the publicly available data used to make these measurements as well as the tools and software involved.

The Erasmus+ school "Eclipsing binaries and asteroseismology: Precise fundamental stellar parameters in the golden age of time-domain astronomy" was held in a hybrid format with fifteen students attending in-person and a further fifty via video conference.

The latest advances in multi-epoch photometry and spectroscopy were covered, highlighting the excellent quality and homogeniety obtained by modern surveys and the opportunities these data provide for the derivation of the fundamental parameters of stars more precisely than ever before.

The school comprised a mix of more classical lectures and practical sessions in which the tutors demonstrated, for example, how to access survey data and its modelling with state-of-the-art tools.

The school was financed by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership "European Collaborating Astronomers Project: España-Czechia-Slovakia" (2020-1-CZ01-KA203-078200). Financial support for the tutors was also provided by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN) through the Spanish State Research Agency, under Severo Ochoa Centres of Excellence Programme 2020-2023 (CEX2019-000920-S), and by the Fundación Jesús Serra and the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias under the Visiting Researcher Programme 2020-2022 agreed between both institutions.
